After Skatefresh in Hollande and Le Mans, we have started to organize "La Rando des Dunes Vol.2"

« One had to expect it… After the success of first Ride of the Dunes, “Mardi c’est Roller” (Roll on Tuesday) – the epicurian frensh skater team, in association with The Check Tablecloth are launching the second edition of the Ride of the Dunes from the 9th to the 17th September 2006 for a raid though the French Southwestern Landes.

With the program, 7 days, 40 participants, 10 nationalities, over 10 staff, approximately 400 km of tracks from La Rochelle to San Sebastian - in the middle of the dunes and the pines, tasting stages of regional products, animated evenings and of course the legendary atmosphere of “Mardi c’est Roller”!

Ride of the Dunes vol. 2 thus wants to be, above all, an international, gastronomical, escapist and fun event, and which will benefit, like every good event, from the user-friendliness of Mardi c’est Roller and of best of the organization of the The Check Tablecloth

Für alle, die das Auswärtige in obigem Posting ein bisschen abschreckt:

Ich hab mir die Website mal angesehen. Mardi c'est Roller ist eine Pariser Skatertruppe, die offenbar in eher kleinerer Besetzung immer dienstags in Paris herumrollert. Liebevolle Vorbereitung, es gibt immer neue Routen und Treffpunkte und so hübsche Dinge wie Picknicks, hausgemachte Spezialitäten, Weinproben, Besichtigungen etc.

Funktioniert nicht so UNorganisiert wie DUSFOR, sondern man trägt sich in eine Mailingliste ein und meldet seine Teilnahme vorher an, so dass die Teilnehmerzahl bekannt ist und das "Plus" entsprechend geplant werden kann.

Was Arno (der "Präsident") uns hier anbietet, ist eine organisierte Ferientour in Südfrankreich, bei der es viel auf das Rahmenprogramm ankommt. Bei 40 Teilnehmern sind 10 Betreuer eingeplant (!), es geht an 7 Tagen auf 400 km Strecke durch Pinienduft und Sanddünen. Abends geht es hoch her, das ist wohl sicher, und die regionalen Spezialitäten werden ausführlich gewürdigt!

Etwas für Epikuräer auf Rollen, die Ersatzlager dabeihaben und möglichst viel Französisch können ... Den Termin konnte ich nirgends finden. Wird vielleicht durch Abstimmung ermittelt?? Die französischen Ferien sind traditionell im August, also nehme ich mal an, dass die Dünentour dann irgendwann stattfindet.

Ich kenne einige Leute von Mardi c'est Roller von Skatefresh im Mai. Eine sehr nette Truppe aus Paris. Das besondere Markenzeichen ist das Programm nach dem Skaten. Gepflegt mit Wein, Käse und Tischtuch (!) Das war alles auch auf der Skatefresh-Tour dabei.

Ist sicher eine nette Tour, aber leider ist dann ja wieder voll Schulzeit und "Rentrée" bei uns, da kann ich nicht mehr weg. Können wir nicht auch mal 'ne karierte Decke ausbreiten und Wein verkosten...??

This tour is in september, because there is too much people on the bicycle paths in august.
And it is so nice to roll in the middle of the forest, alone, with no civilisation signs for kilometer...
