Euregio Skate Tour
When?
From August the 12th (evening) till August the 16th of 2009
Where?
In the heart of the transnational Euregio Maas-Rhine, between the Dutch town of Maastricht, the Belgian towns Hasselt and Liège and the German town of Aachen.
Who?
Inline skaters able of skating 50 km a day several days
You must be able to brake everywhere everytime.
You must be able to skate on an average speed of approximately 15 km/h.
How?
Concept
The skate tour is structured on two parts;
On Thursday, Friday and Sunday : guided rides (guided but not supported by a car or supply convoy) across the Euregio Maas-Rhine
Saturday is free, with the suggestion taking part to the 6 hours inlineskate of Diepenbeek (it takes place in the same area)
Hostel
At the Youth Hostel of Fouron-Saint-Martin/Sint-Martens-Voeren (www.vjh.be)
Food
Breakfast at the Youth Hostel
Lunch : on the way , either picnic (lunch packet available at the Youth Hostel) or in a snack-bar.
Dinner : possible to eat at the Youth Hostel, a BBQ is on plan.
Programme
Wednesday : the gathering starts at the Youth Hostel in the end of the afternoon to have time to settle in.
Thursday : guided ride (BBQ at the evening)
Friday : guided ride
Saturday : free, make your choice
=> 6 hours inlineskate of Diepenbeek !
=> 15th August Assumption in Liège (very important celebration for local people)
=> free ride
=> day-off
Sunday : guided ride, the tour takes end in the afternoon (4 or 5 o'clock PM)

Cost
The cost of the event is about ¤ 100, -- p.p.
Included :
- a 4 night stay at the Youth Hostel,
- breakfast,
- a BBQ on Thursday evening.
Not included :
- lunch,
- dinner,
- "the 6 hours inlineskate of Diepenbeek" (information coming soon)
Conditions
- Register before the available places are taken, with payment in due time.
- Be of age (min.18 year old) or be in charge of an accompanying adult of age.
- Sign the discharge at the arrival (participating on this tour is at your own risk).
- Agree to the way code
For having fun all skaters together, the "official" language is English
